We are now accepting nominations for the volunteer of the year. You can find the survey to nominate on our school website.
As our students enter the doors of our school, they are surrounded by some wonderful and talented adults. To this point this year we have recognized the classified employee of the year: Ms. Fara Avila. We have also recognized the teacher of the year: Mrs. Wendy Morrey. We now have the opportunity to recognize one of the many volunteers that come support our Woodruff students. Please take a few minutes in the next couple of weeks to nominate a volunteer by going to our school website and filling out a small nomination survey!

STEM Fair

Woodruff Elementary STEM Fair will be Friday, March 30, 2018. Judging and evening viewing will be from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Our goal in conducting the Woodruff STEM Fair is to engage kids and families in the joy of science and engineering, as well as develop an understanding of the scientific method and engineering process. We will be accepting projects that are completed as individuals, families, friends, or even classes.

To judge the projects, we will be using a school created rubric that looks at the steps of the scientific method or engineering process, creativity, and organization. There will be students from either the high school or the university to judge the projects. If you have any questions please refer to the STEM Fair packet or contact this year's STEM Fair's representative: crystal.duce@loganschools.org

Coffee & Cocoa with the Principal:
This year join Mr. Markworth every 3rd Wednesday from 8:00-8:30 to discuss school issues and have a cup of coffee and/or hot cocoa.

STEM at Work Night

Please come join us Friday, March 30, 2018. Woodruff will have its STEM at Work Night. It will be held at the same time as the STEM Fair, from 6:00-8:00pm. There will be booths from different outside organizations that demonstrate how STEM skills are used in everyday jobs. If you are aware of someone, or an organization that might want to have a booth at our STEM at Work Night, please contact the PTA Board.
