Principal Markworth's October Letter

Woodruff Community-
It is hard to believe that we are already in October.  There are some exciting things going on at Woodruff this month:

  1. Reflections are due Tuesday, October 11th

  2. SEP Conferences are October 17-18.  We look forward to meeting with all of you to help discuss student progress and make goals for their success

  3. Red Ribbon Week is October 24-28 and encourages our students to make healthy choices

  4. Halloween Parade on Monday, October 31st from 1:45-2:30 pm.  We encourage all students and staff to dress up.  Our theme for our faculty is Disney and Superheroes.

Finally, we will be having a Veteran’s Day Assembly this year planned out by our Hero Squad (Student Council).  We would like to invite all who have served or are currently serving in the military to attend our assembly and we would like to recognize and celebrate with you and your families.  Watch for more information coming soon.
School Community Council
Our School Community council is hard at work improving student safety.  We have teamed up with Logan City, Cache County, and the Logan City School District to improve our walking routes to school and encourage more families to walk and ride to school.  Look for visible improvements around the school in the near future including crosswalks and 20 mph zones on 600 South.  We appreciate your continued efforts to keep our students safe and please contact us at the school if you would like to make any suggestions or get involved.  You can e-mail our School Community chair Melissa Dahle at
