- Review and approve the minutes from the May and September meetings (Julie)
- Motioned: Wyatt Olsen
- Seconded: Kristi Mujumdar
- Glance at the budget (Matt)
- A-Z program was purchased and taken from Software category
- Amendment to SIP plan ( Matt)
- Matt brought up the RTI Conference (Response to Intervention); 7 members will be attending. Originally budgeted $15,000 for it, but it will be $18,000. This includes registration, hotel & food. The difference will be pulled from carry over balance from last year.
- Review SIP data (Matt)
- Goal: 70% of students above benchmark for Acadience Reading
- Current: 51% for beginning of school year testing
- Goal: 55% of students above benchmark for Acadience Math
- Current: 38% for beginning of school year testing
- Goal: Decrease number of office referrals by 20% by end of 24/25 school year
- Current: 23 school wide incidents
- Wellness room is still being used to help with behavior incidents
- Review bylaws (Matt)
- Appoint Amy Olsen & Ty Fenn as new Community Council members
- Matt has combined Rules of Order sent by state & bylaws
- Becca posed question “What is quorum?”- Matt will clarify with Superintendent
- Amy suggested changing “absences” to “unexcused absences” for council members
- Updated bylaws will be approved next month with new changes
- Community Council virtual Training from the state

- Tuesday, October 29th @ 1 pm (SCC)
- Wednesday, November 6th @ 3 pm (SCC)
- Thursday, November 14th @ 7 pm (SCC)
- Public Input (Julie)
- Update on structured recess: Kids can change zones as many times as they’d like
- The idea of “zones” came from Bridger Elementary not playworks.org, Bridger Elementary saw decrease of behavior incidents with implementation of “zones”
- Book Vending Machine has been purchased; books are currently being picked & purchased
- Tokens will be used for book vending machine; students will receive tokens various ways such as, 30 book reading challenge and Y badges
- Administration is open to new ideas on how students can earn tokens
- Students can earn Y badges & earn extra privileges such as, checking out 2 books at a time, class privileges, etc.
- Teachers like Y badge system; it creates an extension of school expectations & student accountability
- Becca brought up Constitutional Amendment so council members were aware how that applies to education
