Agenda Topics

• Review and approve the minutes from the February meetings (Julie) 
  • Motioned: Matt

• Glance at the budget (Matt) 
  • 25 chrome books will be purchased for students going into 3 rd grade (This will be taken from
    equipment budget)
  • Stickers will be added to each chrome books “Bought by CC; Community Council”
  • Will continue team days
  • Possible items to spend excess budget on; Additional conferences, Book sets per grade level,
    Summer Library Days
• Review and vote on list of needs given by teachers (Matt)
  • Community Council reviewed each list and approved them as they fit the criteria needed to
    receive funds

• Review SIP data  (Matt) 
  • MOY: 31% in Math; Goal is 55% by EOY
  • Ideas: Create a systematic assessment district wide
  • Ask teachers what additional math resources they need
  • Behaviors: There have been less kindergarten behaviors
• Review and Vote on next year’s SIP plan (Matt)
  • Goals: 70% of students above benchmark in reading (Acadience testing)
  • 3 team days
  • Use instructional assistance (1/2 day subs during Acadience testing)
  • Renaissance Learning & Read Naturally Live will be the software used to achieve this goal
  • Additional books will be place in vending machines
  • Reducing budget for team days from $20k to $15k as there is usually money left over
  • Focus on additional instructional aid
  • Goals: 55% above benchmark in math (Acadience testing)
  • Reduce budget software (use free resources)
  • Rise Assessments will be used (Each grade level will be assessed 3 times a year, using NWED
    test)
