Glance at the budget
Matt discussed the possibility of paying for math PD from Solution Tree and the purchase of a school license of Lexia, if there is money still left in some categories at the end of the year.
The council discussed if purchasing the CKLA student books was cost effective. Matt will look into that over the year.
Review SIP goals
Matt discussed with the council the need to change the SIP math goal, since Acadience Math has gone away. Below is the goal that the guiding coalition created. All agreed to make the change.
By the end of the 2026–2027 school year, 60% of students (grades 1-5) at Woodruff Elementary will meet or exceed their expected growth on Math MAP from Beginning of Year (BOY) to End of Year (EOY).
Recruitment for new members
Jentry Broschinsky, Makayla Ritterhouse expressed interest in being part of the community council. Matt has appointed them to the council and he will notify them so that they can attend the next meeting.
Alexandria Weaver will be removed from the council for lack of attendance to the monthly meetings.
Election for CC officers
Ty Fenn was voted as this year’s community council chairperson.
Crystal Nelson was voted in as the community council vice chairperson.
Public Input
Discussion about drop off and pick up was had. Matt asked for thoughts about adjusting the entrances and exits to the east parking lot.
